Meet Maddire
As an artist, Maddire is strongly influenced by human development and aims to express and explore such concepts through her portraiture and figurative works. Maddire's initial background studying a Bachelor of Psychological Science has also played a huge role in cementing her curiosity for human development and human behaviors. "I intend to help promote healing within those who view and resonate with my artworks and challenge various aspects of human development that are often overlooked or unheard. I believe that there is always more to be explored within any story, so I challenge myself to create art that has both a back story and a song even if those are both something that only I know."
Maddire's Journals
Maddire's journals are handmade and each created to be unique to their collector. "It has aways been a rule of mine to never make the same journal twice to ensure that they remain a one of a kind specialty item." Each of the journals are made up of repurposed or recycled materials reducing the amount of waste that otherwise ends up in our environment, making a difference one journal at a time. Art Journals are great for a practical collector, you gain both a keepsake and an interactive experience. Instead of just hanging your favourite art piece on the wall you can take it with you wherever you go and use it to store your greatest memories from diary entries to secret family recipes to photos, the meaning they can possess goes beyond the initial artwork. "I thoroughly enjoy making all types of journals, and documenting the process for others to see. Journal making gives my mind a break in between painting projects and allows me to refresh my creativity whilst still being productive and creative."
